Dr. Gladys Childs

Gladys knows what it’s like to hurt deeply, to wrestle with hard questions, and to walk through seasons of faith that feel like a struggle. She was raised in a home marked by trauma and an alcoholic mother. Church wasn’t part of her life growing up. She met Jesus at 14, and while everything changed, the healing was long and messy. She knows what it’s like to cry out in the dark, to feel broken beyond repair, and to fight for faith when nothing makes sense.

That’s why Gladys is passionate about walking with people through their valleys. She steps into the mess where faith feels fragile and pain runs deep, helping others discover unshakable faith and real freedom.
 
Known as the "Truth Doctor," Gladys has a gift for cutting through life’s hardest questions with clarity, compassion, and hope. She doesn’t sugarcoat the truth, but she doesn’t leave you stuck, either. With honesty, humor, and a deep heart for transformation, she points people back to the One who heals and redeems.
 
For over 25 years, Gladys served in church leadership, teaching, leading women, mentoring students, and discipling kids. Today, she’s the Women’s Group Director at LifePoint Fellowship and reaches women across the world through her ministry. She’s also a pastor’s wife, boy mom, and a former religion professor and university chaplain.
 
Gladys is an ordained minister with a Ph.D. in Foundations of Education, a Master of Divinity, a Master’s in Religious Education, and a B.A. in Counseling and Psychology. But more than the degrees, it’s her authenticity that connects with people. She knows life is messy, but she also knows God’s grace is bigger than the mess.
